The city of Golden and the USA Pro Challenge have invited the Two Angels Foundation to hold an Adaptive Dash, this Sunday (Aug. 23rd) at 1:50 pm at the Start Line for the USA Pro Challenge cycling races (Washington Avenue, between 12th & 13th Streets, Golden, CO), where thousands of spectators from the Men’s Stage 7 race, are expected to be on hand to watch the Dash.
Friends & Supporters of Two Angels Foundation…we encourage you to come out to watch and participate in this inspiring event! For more information, CLICK HERE
The race is open to all young athletes who use adaptive equipment (tricycle, wheelchair, etc.). If your child is interested in participating, e-mail Dawn@TwoAngelsFoundation.org for more information!
The park will be filled with food vendors and tents from local merchants, and organizations (including US!) – please stop by!
- The Local Golden Festival will be just a block away, in beautiful Parfet Park, from 9 am – 4 pm.
- The Women’s Stage 3 leg of the USA Pro Challenge is from 10:30 – 11:30 am. The ladies will follow a criterium course around downtown Golden.
- The Men’s Stage 7 leg of the USA Pro Challenge starts at 1:10 pm. The gentlemen will pass through downtown twice before heading for the finish in Denver’s City Park, after circling North Table Mountain Park, and again after racing up and down Lookout Mountain.
If you live close, walking or biking is recommended. If you are coming from outside of Golden, consider taking the light rail to the Jefferson County Government stop and riding your bike to downtown. A self-park bike corral will be set up at the tennis courts on 10th & Illinois. No parking will be allowed on the streets along the race routes. Parking garages in downtown will be open to the public, but get there early, as access to them will be limited during the road closures for the races. Resident permit parking along 9th Street will be suspended for the day, so public parking will be allowed.
