The Two Angels Foundation, Inc. in Colorado is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Saturday, April 11th. As we reach this milestone, we are very excited to kick-off 2015 with our tenth anniversary celebration, The Taste of Two Angels.
Please join us on Saturday, April 11th, from 5-9 pm at the Kent Denver School, where we can eat, drink, and celebrate all that we have achieved together. Tickets are $65 in advance, $75 at the door; e-mail Steve.Hooper@comcast.net for advance ticket purchase information. We hope to see you there!
We have also launched a new web site at www.twoangelsfoundation.org. The site has been completely redesigned for maximum compatibility with mobile devices, while adding new user friendly functions. Families will now be able to submit applications for equipment/support directly from their computer, tablet or smartphone. Beginning with the 2015 Miles-for-Smiles 5K and Adaptive Dash, Two Angels supporters and sponsors will also be able to register for events, sponsorships, and make donations directly from the site!
Please mark your calendars for our 9th annual Miles-for-Smiles 5K and Adaptive Dash, May 17th at Broomfield’s Commons Park. The 5K is not only for competitive runners but it is also great for families. After the 5K, we hold the 50-yard adaptive dash. The kids bring out their adaptive equipment (tricycle, wheelchair, etc.) and walk, roll, or ride their way to the finish line with glee!
On July 25th we host our 11th Annual Ugly Coat Classic at Broadlands Golf Club. Join us for golf, food, fun and more!
Over the past ten years, The Two Angels Foundation has helped provide the adaptive equipment needed to allow hundreds of Colorado children with special needs to know the joy of an active lifestyle, and the satisfaction of giving their all on the field and in the classroom.
Founded in 2005, by the family and friends of Allyson and Rachel Mohatt, who were both diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy/Nemaline Myopathy very early in life. Inspired by how much adaptive equipment improved the girl’s quality of life by enabling them to participate fully in sport, school and play activities, and realizing that obtaining funding for adaptive equipment can be a significant financial burden for many families, The Two Angels Foundation formed to help these families purchase adaptive equipment for home and school.
We give independence and smiles, through bikes and the like!
